Kristjanh rated it really liked it Feb 23, There are dozens of principle characters and hundreds of thousands of extras, storylines spanning three years book-time and all sorts of interlinking monsters, organisations and geographical wonders.

Chris Wooding has built a wonderful world, with a magic system I love and remember being quite jealous of when I was I first read this book so long ago that I can’t remember when it was, when it was broken down into 9 little books.

Usually, however, they are used alone, set into a metal collar but, in one instance, the damper stone is seen implanted into a slave miner’s body at the nape of the neck; a few inches up from where their spirit stones would start. Since you eky not on goodreads, its safe to express my rare appreciation for you here. Because of this, they are much slower than their Keriag brethren.

It is always passed on to the oldest Koth Taraan. The Jachyra are Macaan’s secret police.

Aside from the initial stereotypes, however, this is a pretty cool and well-written story. Want to Read Currently Reading Read.
