I have no tolerance for this mind-numbing bellicose crap. Of course, pro-military individuals should, and probably already have, read it. I am so glad that I read this book and got a glimpse the kind of people who have answered our country’s call and who fight for freedom. This was our book club pick for this month. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but while reading it, I kept thinking, “I bet this is an incredible movie”.
Later in the book, rural villagers cut from basically the same cloth as the Taliban save his bullet-ridden arse and put their own lives on the line to do so. I will never quit. But it is also, more than anything, the story of his teammates, who fought ferociously beside him until he was the last one left-blasted unconscious by a rocket grenade, blown over a cliff, but still armed and still breathing.

I’m assuming Luttrell is donating all the money he is making, such as the three million dollar movie option, to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation so at least something positive could come out of what was essentially, a clusterfuck that cost many brave men their lives. They were impressed too. His answers to these perceived problems are probably best not mentioned.
And I’m sure he did. T It’s hard survlvor say how I feel about this book. But after reading this account, I have to come down on his side. Rodriguez’s story speaks to every woman, mother, sister, wife – to anyone who has ever questioned their relationships, their place in the world and the choices that they’ve made.
I hope bu lots of people will read this book written by a remarkable young soldier. He even referenced this in the final chapter of the book, though again, he did not reflect on it. Apparently he never stops to think that we back home, the tax payers that have to foot the bill for this stupid war, have the right to know what is going on within our military.

The Dry by Jane Harper. And I expect to be able to form my own opinions on those things. He is utterly incapable of dealing with humans. Their mission, Operation Red Wingswas to observe a village and capture or kill a leading Taliban member thought to be allied with Osama bin Laden. I thought this would be a “guys book” but it isn’t. My friend gave me Lone Survivor, and because she luttrelo suffered through lutteell the fluffy romance books I’ve given her in the past I gave it a shot.
I have read reviews that say, “Luttrell’s story of survival is amazing, and for that alone, this book should get 5 stars.
So this review is not personal, is not meant to decry anything that he or his fellow SEALs stand for or did in this theatre of operation or generally I read some great reviews of this book and I, like others who have reviewed this book in durvivor less than glowing light, should add that I have nothing but admiration and respect for every soldier who puts his life on the line for Country, comrades and frankly for me.
I have since scoured the Internet trying to learn as much as I can about Operation Redwing and it’s heroes. Forced to flee her life in Survivir, she leaves behind her friends, her possessions and her two beloved businesses: Get to Know Us.
