I enjoyed the novel but I was able to unravel the whole plot by myself and read through whole I love David Baldacci and this one book is one of his finest works as per baldacdi critiques and reviews but for me, I have read much better mystery by him though the style and the story telling was just his classic style. They are in Maine to meet up with Ted Bergin, a law school professor and friend of King, who is defending Edgar Roy, allegedly a serial killer. It was slow going at first and I must agree with others about the “strange” writing style, it was very off putting; especially during dialogue when it was difficult to keep track who was speaking what linesit seemed more like written dialogue for a movie than a novel.
